Plans and Studies
Any major project or study partially funded by the Miami-Dade MPO is required to include a Community Involvement component. The MPO provides tools to consultants to help determine the best outreach strategies to implement. Consultants work with staff to review the plan for the study to properly identify the demographics of the community they will be working with to ensure a comprehensive outreach effort.
Public Participation Plan
We have updated our Public Participation Plan (PPP) to ensure compliance with stated federal and state regulations. You can download the final Public Participation Plan. For more information, send your questions or comments to Elizabeth Rockwell.
Citizen Advisory Committee Meetings: There are four citizen advisory committees that directly report to the MPO Governing Board to ensure citizen participation is included in the transportation planning process. All meetings are held at convenient and accessible locations and times.
